A Big Little Wedding in the Valley of Death

This was such an awesome intimate wedding and it fills our heads with wonderful memories of life before Covid-19. This was one of the last weddings we did before the country went under stay-at-home orders … a time of normalcy and naïve bliss.

Valerie and Adam fell in love with Death Valley from the time of their first visit a few years ago and travel there frequently. They new they wanted to share the unique beauty and wonder of this desert wonderland with their closest family and friends on their special day and that they did! Though it was an intimate wedding, it was still large as Death Valley weddings go so their ceremony had to take place at Breakfast Canyon, the only location in the park to accommodate weddings with more than a couple of attendees. We had never been up to Breakfast Canyon. It is an extension of the badlands and is raw in its beauty. It was the perfect location!

Before the ceremony we met up with Valerie and Adam for their first look and photos at the salt flats at Badwater Basin and the Badlands. After the ceremony we took off for an epic sunset shoot in the Mesquite Sand Dunes. These two were so adventurous and fun to hang out with and we loved their personalities. They made their wedding their own, as they should and enjoyed every minute of taking their vows in the place that they love in front of the people they love! This is what we love and we hope to get back to it … and some normalcy … again real soon!
